Monday, March 29th 2010 at 19.50h I noticed a mute swan (Cygnus olor) that vigorously attacked a floating large dead carp (Cyprinus carpio) right in front of the OBA, the Amsterdam Public Library. I did not see any physical contact between the swan and the fish, but I could only watch the scene for five minutes (and took one picture with my phone). Did anybody see how this swan – dead fish encounter ended?
The swans that reside near the Amsterdam Public Library do have a bad reputation. Watch this video.
